Monday is the deadline to keep a bill alive that would allow licensed real estate professionals to be paid for performing Broker Price Opinions (BPO). Contact your member of the House of Representatives NOW and request that they ask House Judiciary B Chairman Willie Bailey (Greenville) to “Table the Motion to Reconsider on House Bill 1118,” and then ask them to “Vote Yes on the Motion to Table.”
If successful, House Bill 1118 would then be transmitted to the Senate where the Mississippi Association of REALTORS can amend the original bill to clarify and strictly limit the language to allow licensed real estate professioanls to be compensated for performing a service they are already allowed to perform.
